Charming entry! I like the combination of sketches, collaged lettering, and the little article.

This is such a wonderful journal page! Lovely watercolor and I like the collaged bits too. All your sketch journal pieces here are fantastic!

You have the most fun journal pages around. If there was a prize for them, I'd nominate you for it! ;-) Great work! (Sorry your Dad has been sick -- looks like he's on the mend, though -- hope it continues to go well!)

Hi Clare, again this is a really great spread. I love the collage bits too. Very nice.

I don't know if you've ever come across Kathrin Jebson (no doubt I've spelt her name wrong), but I think you may be interested in seeing her work. She also does illustrated journals and is one of my own personal favourites on Flickr. Check it out.

I've tried to leave the link to Kathrin's work but can't - you can find her on my blogroll under Flickr Faves though.

A really lovely journal page, love the smudges of paint, and the hyacinth sequence is delightful. And the same with the other ones I have just been looking at, lovely work, so interesting.
